The
highway or any other road is not as good as like the non-stop road and the
vehicles meant for the plan express highway cannot be moving in the countryside
earthen or metal roads. So there is a certain type of vehicles which are
designed to run below the highway. These specific vehicles are the off-highway Transmissions vehicles.
Features
of these vehicles:
The
off-highway vehicles are making smooth off-highway transmissions and
transportation. The special features and design of these vehicles make these
enable to run without a road. These vehicles have generally very large wheel,
super flexible and effective suspension. There are also some vehicles which are
suitable for both off & on road like tractors, pick-up trucks etc.
ATV
(All Terrain Vehicles):
Terrain
vehicles are specially designed vehicles for transportation over the unimproved
terrain. These vehicles are designed with having at least three or more tires
of more wide and low-pressure wheels for off-highway transmissions on
the terrain. The wheel width is generally 50 inches and the weight does not
exceed than 800 pounds are the general features of the vehicle.
Motor
Cycle:
Not
only big vehicles of more than three wheelers are able to run off-highway but
also the motorcycle category two-wheeler vehicles are suitable for the off-highway transmissions. The motorcycles have a saddle on the seat and have very
heavy and wide tires in wheels.
Snow
& Desert ride:
There
cannot be super fine express highway on the snow or over the unstable sand. So
in these places, off-highway transmissions vehicles are the only option
for transportation. Any vehicles which are self-propelled and the wide tires
with more than 10 inches and maximum 10 pounds per square inch pressure are
off-highway enabled.
There
are some special category vehicles like the farm tractors, vehicles meant and
designed for the disabled person, golf court mover and other specific and
recreational vehicles are not count under the off-highway transportation
vehicle category.
