What is the use of powertrain components in a car?

Our body is made with the combination of different organs. Every organ has a particular task to complete and must work in coordination with other organs in order for the body to function in the way it supposed to work.

The same is thing goes with the cars. The car has different parts working together to make it run. Take for example the powertrain components in a car. The powertrain is made up of four different parts known as powertrain components, the engine transmission, driveshafts, differentials and the final drive.

l  The working of a car entirely depends on the powertrain components. These components work together in order to generate power that is delivered by the same.

l  The first component is the engine, our cars use an internal combustion engine which generates energy from the combustion of the fuel inside the engine.

l  The next one on the list of powertrain components is the drive shaft, it is a mechanical device which is used for transmitting the power from the engine to the wheels of the car.

l  A differential in a car is used to run both the wheels at the same speed from the power that is transferred from the engine using driveshaft.

l  The last one is the final drive which is nothing but just the wheels of a car.
