Powertrain system is a system in a vehicle
that provides the vehicle required driving force to move. It is also known as power
plant. It is composed of components that used the vehicle power, generated by
the given source of energy on the road surface and make vehicle movable.
Powertrain components include the engine, transmission, differentials,
driveshaft, axles, even everything from the engine to the rotating wheels. It
also includes gearbox, clutch, cardan shaft and additional gearboxes. If the
base frame of a vehicle is the skeleton then powertrain components is its muscular system.
Maintenance
of these components is also very crucial as if the vehicle’s powertrain is not
working properly then it may result into vehicle breakdown. A proper service
channel is highly required for the vehicles to maintain it properly. powertrain Components
can vary from vehicles to vehicle but the base components include engine and
transmission. The servicing of the engine includes
regular oil changes, oil filter changes and air filter changes. The servicing
of transmission includes fluid changes, regularly.
