What are transmission components?

If you have ever wondered how an automatic transmission works, it is because of the transmission components. The main components that are included in a transmission system are as follows.

·         A planetary gear set

These planetary gear sets are part of the mechanical systems that are responsible for providing various reverse as well as forward gear ratios.

·         A hydraulic system

·         A modulator and a governor

A governor and modulator or a throttle cable monitor speed is responsible for determining when to cause the shift.

·         Computer

A computer is responsible for controlling the shift points on the brand new vehicles and also directs the electrical solenoids in order to shift the flow of oil to an appropriate transmission component. The important thing here is everything must be done at the right time.
